Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Single or a young couple (there is no accommodation for families/children)

Good level of spoken English
-
Outgoing, friendly, and enjoy working with people

Willing to work in an entry-level position at the hotel - cleaning rooms or working in the kitchen

Willing to stay for a minimum of 6 months, preferably 1 year, if possible. (There is no legal requirement to stay in the job.)

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR HOTEL RECRUITMENT PROGRAM
Step 1: COMPLETE ONLINE ENGLISH TESTS
For the hotel positions, a good level of English is required. You don’t have to speak perfect English, but you need to be able to talk to guests at the hotel.
Please complete these TWO (2) tests. They are not official tests, but they will give us a sense of your English level. Please do not get anyone to help you with the test.

When asked for your name, please use your first and last name, just like on the application.

When asked for an email address, please use canadacaring@gmail.com, so we will receive your results.

Step 2: COMPLETE APPLICATION
If you receive a good score on the English tests, you will receive an email asking you to apply for Fairmont Chateau Whistler – Canada Caring Housekeeping Opportunities
The application needs to be completed in English. When you have completed the application, click to submit it.
Step 3: COMPLETE ONLINE ASSESSMENT
After you submit your online application, you will automatically be sent a link to complete an online questionnaire with 150 questions.
You do not have to use English to complete the online assessment. Select the language you want to use. Use your first language, if possible. You want to use the language which is the easiest for you, so that you can answer the questions as well as possible.
Step 4: INTERVIEW AND JOB OFFER
Based on the results of your application, you may be asked to have a video interview with a member of the hotel’s management team.
If you are identified as a successful applicant, you will be offered a job and the sponsorship process will begin.
